– WHERE WERE YOU on January 1st, 2020?
Many of our San Diego, California, National and International Mayflower Society members were in Pasadena, CA, to witness our 2020 Rose Parade Float, “The Voyage of Hope”, as it traveled 6-miles down Colorado Blvd. We hope that you were able to experience it first-hand as well, or at least to see it on TV. Our float was just the beginning of the Mayflower/Pilgrim 400-year Anniversary celebrations set to take place in 2020 and 2021 in the U.S., the U.K. and The Netherlands. We hope you are able to participate at some level, and be interested enough to learn about the motivations of the Pilgrim Separatist’s and their companion ‘Strangers’, as well as the sacrifices they all endured in coming to this land.
– 2020-2021 Anniversary Celebrations of the Mayflower’s Voyage and the First Thanksgiving
Plans are underway in all 14 California Colonies to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the famous voyage of the Mayflower from England to Cape Cod in 1620. Please watch for our future plans. If you are interested in being a part of an exciting project, or have ideas, please contact us at the California Mayflower Society or via one of our California Colonies.
