FALL 2026 – The Forty-Forth General Congress
Martin W. Beerman, Secretary General
The General Society of Mayflower Descendants invites all members to gather in Plymouth, Massachusetts, for the Forty-fourth General Congress, September 11-16, 2026, where America’s founding story unfolds at it’s source. Walk the very ground where the Pilgrims settled in 1620, and experience a town where history is not preserved behind glass, but lives in the landscape itself. Learn more on the Mayflower Society’s official website: https://themayflowersociety.org/.

SPRING 2018
Groundbreaking Partnership Established Between FAMILY TREE DNA and
THE GENERAL SOCIETY of MAYFLOWER DESCENDANTS
Pioneering company in the field of Genetic Genealogy, Family Tree DNA (ftDNA), is partnering with the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (GSMD) to identify the DNA profile of Mayflower Pilgrims. The partnership is a natural progression. Both organizations strive to bring the most accurate information possible to their constituents. Marrying GSMD lineage documentation to ftDNA tests will allow The Mayflower Society to remain cutting edge in the genealogy field. The hope is that when enough proven members have submitted their DNA results to ftDNA, prospective Mayflower Society applicants may be able to establish missing generational links in their trees back to the Mayflower Pilgrims.
